Bellagangi Art House is a 200 years old, freshly renovated building with five floors and four balconies. The house has special furnitures - every piece is handmade - created by artists, so it became a home with a really special atmosphere. The renovation took 400 days - and the dream became true. It was really important for the owner to renovate this house using bio, wood and recycled materials.
Gangi sits on a mountain, which is 1040 meters high, so the view is fantastic and the air is fresh. In the 1800's the house was the biggest bakery in the city - the house owns this oven even now.
The owner is an art film producer, who travelled a lot and he used his experiences to turn this house into a "Home for everyone".
Gangi is a medieval city in the heart of Sicily. In 2014 it won the "Most Beautiful City" prize in Italy. Gangi is not a city fully packed by tourists - most of the visitors are italian, for this region is cheaper than Italy.
The local gastronomy is legendary, you can taste it it the city's restaurants, all the foods are fresh and local. Gangi lays between two beautiful national parks (Parco regionale delle Madonie, Parco reginale dei Nebrodi)
There are two airports to reach Gangi: Catania, Palermo you can rent a small car there, or from Palermo there's a bus service to Gangi and a transfer taxi for 8 people which costs 130 Euros, from Catania there's a bus service from the airport to Nicosia which is 18 km from Gangi, than you have to get another bus or a taxi.
Towels and bed linen are for free, just as WIFI.
