Bellagangi Art House is a multi storey house in the heart of Sicily surrounded by beautiful mountains located 110 km (68 miles)  from Palermo and Catania. It is situated in the historical city center built atop Monte Marone. The several hundred year-old abode provides comfortable accomodation for 6 people. It combines the comfort of the old methods of construction -like thick walls and rustic old beams- with the preferences of the modern comfort There are 3 bedrooms a living room a kitchen, two bathrooms with broadband internet a spectacular panorama to the nearby hills and unique hand-made furniture.

The entrance opens into a cool lobby, where the temperature is mild even on the hottests days.  You can enjoy a glass of cool wine after an adventurous day. There is also a toilet with a small tap, a washing machine, and a tiny store-room with the boiler
 
From the ground floor a staircase leads to the first floor room which has a little french-balcony. You can also find here a sofa and a desk. This place is perfect for working, reading or thinking. The bathroom floor is made from hand-picked seastones which will give you a  refreshing sole-massage after a long day of exploring the village. The water comes from a 150 year old ridge-tile. 
 
The second floor can be reached over stairs. There is a cosy double-room overlooking the stone-paved winding mediterranean alley. The bathroom here has a shower with marble floor and an extraordinary Indonesian wooden basin. 
 
The third floor is the social space. It is really bright here.  This living room has built-in furniture on both sides. It  can serve as a bedroom when there are more than 6 guests. There is another double bedroom with great view of Gangi’s top landmarks. 
 
The kitchen can be found on the top-floor of the building. This is a Sicilian tradition.  You can admire the magnificent panorama while doing the washing up.  It is an inviting environment for both cooking and conversations. Besides the fridge and the four-burner stove there is also an old but fully functioning pizza stove. As the legend says, not only the best pizza of Gangi was made here, but locals came here to bake their daily bread. In case you are not keen on carrying your daily shopping three-storeys high, you can also use the pulley attached to the outer wall of the house. 
You can do your shopping in many ways, but the most convenient is to catch a street vendor and buy your fruit or vegetables, or pop in to the local bakery. Clean bedsheets, towels, dish  towels, cleaning equipments, toilet-paper are included in the price. 
 
Bellagangi Art House is a three-minute walk from the main attraction of Gangi, the San Nicolo di Bari Church, the centre of Gangi’s cultural life.  The town hall, the main street, the best butcher and baker, confectionary store, coffee bar, and an exceptionally good restaurant, the Santa Anna Besides Sicilian specialities you can consume here the best thin-crust pizza for as little as 4 Euros. 
 
If you want to see more of Sicily than crowded tourist-destinations can offer, if you want to experience the Italian Lifestyle, Bellagangi Art House is for you. People here are friendly and kind.
